“Creating Memories for the Rest of the Family”
Purrfect Pet Portraits Photography Studio is a Red Deer based studio catering to those who love their pets and desire to capture the character of their dear, loyal and unconditonally loving friend; to provide a lasting memory and to have some prints to show off to friends and family as well!So how did this pet portrait photographer come to be? Pet photography has always been a love of mine, so when I had the oportunity to learn the ropes, many years ago now, I knew that this is what I wanted to do someday. So with much prayer, and the wonderful, awesome support of my husband, we have been at it for 2 years now.
Many people wonder how I get animals to sit still. Many times the answer is, they don’t! It just looks that way in the final product! It’s great when a pet does respond to comands, but do not fear if you have a pet that is…a little hyper. I have worked with all types, and yes, the work can be difficult at times, but that is where a little patience, and a calm atmosphere can help. That is what you will find when you come in to our studio or location set up. We want it to be a fun and comfortable experience for you and your pet.
So what can you expect when you come in? Sittings generally take one hour, depending on the pet(s). You will most likely be involved in helping to grab the attention of your pet or just to help keep him or her on the table!! Sometimes we do need to kick you out, though, if it seems that your pet would respond better with you outside the room. This does happen occasionally. After the shoot, you will need to take some time to pick out your portraits.
All work is done with a 6.2 megapixel Canon 10D and then downloaded to view via computer. Once this is done, we will go to work to produce quality prints that will last a lifetime. In general, you can expect your prints in about 2 weeks.
